There are lots of taxis, buses and ferries to get you where you need to go.

There are numerous taxi companies, with 24/7 service, including Casino Taxi, Yellow Cab, and Bob’s Taxi.
Halifax Transit offers bus and ferry service within the Halifax Regional Municipality. All buses and ferries are accessible.

You can pay by cash when you board at a cost of $2.75 for buses (with some exceptions) and ferries, or you can pre-purchase tickets at $24.75 for 10 at various drug and grocery stores. A full list of where you can buy tickets can be found here and a full price chart can be found here.
If you’ll need to take more than one bus or ferry to arrive at your destination, make sure to request a transfer when you first board so you won’t have to pay more than once.
Bus schedules are altered on public holidays, so make sure to double check the schedule if you’re visiting during a holiday. The Woodside Ferry does not offer service on holidays and the Alderney Ferry does not offer service on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday or Easter Sunday.
